What you’ll learn: This course is perfect for both complete beginners and those with some experience looking to enhance their watercolor skills. In each lesson, you'll dive into different themes and experiment with watercolor techniques in creative and diverse ways. By the end of the course, you'll be equipped to create your own beautiful artworks. All art materials and supplies are provided.

Materials and supplies provided:

  • Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set

  • Watercolor Paint Brushes

  • Watercolor paper

  • Black Ink Pen

  • Hardboard Wood Painting Panel

Course content:

  • Learn to create textures with salt, scratching, and dry brush techniques by painting a loose, abstract landscape and seascape, capturing the flow of sky, water, and trees with these dynamic methods.

  • Learn how to paint a still life featuring apples and lemons, with an emphasis on capturing light and shadow. You'll practice creating a full range of values to achieve a realistic representation.

  • Learn how to create depth in watercolor landscapes using wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, while painting a landscape that represents a specific season and applying color theory to choose a palette that captures its essence.

  • Paint a calm mountain lake scene, showing the quiet water with the beautiful mountains reflected on it.
