What you’ll learn:

This course is perfect for both complete beginners and those with some experience looking to enhance their watercolor skills. In each lesson, you'll dive into different themes and experiment with watercolor techniques in creative and diverse ways. By the end of the course, you'll be equipped to create your own beautiful artworks. All art materials and supplies are provided.

In this October series, you’ll explore the vibrant colors and textures of autumn while learning to:

  • Use loose watercolor techniques to paint beautiful fall leaves with fluid brushwork.

  • Apply layering methods to create depth and dimension in sunflower paintings.

  • Develop skills in conveying depth and distance in a lively fall cityscape using color and perspective.

  • Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set

  • Watercolor Paint Brushes

  • Watercolor paper

  • Black Ink Pen

  • Hardboard Wood Painting Panel

Course content:

  • Discover the beauty of autumn by using loose watercolor techniques to paint colorful fall leaves. Learn how to keep your strokes fluid and create soft, natural shapes.

  • Learn how to layer colors in watercolor by painting sunflowers. In this lesson, we'll focus on creating depth and dimension using light, transparent layers and careful color choices.

  • Create a vibrant fall cityscape while learning simple ways to show depth and distance. You'll explore how to use color, perspective, and contrast to make an autumn scene feel alive.
